3. Platform Cookies (Ad Serving)

When Singular Ads serves advertisements through our Platform on publisher websites and apps, we may set or read cookies on the end user's device for the following purposes:

  • Frequency Capping: Limiting the number of times a user sees the same ad
  • Conversion Attribution: Determining whether an ad impression or click led to a desired action
  • Fraud Prevention: Identifying and filtering invalid traffic and bot activity
  • Audience Building: Creating interest-based segments for relevant ad targeting (only with valid consent)
  • Reporting: Aggregating ad delivery data for advertiser and publisher reporting

All Platform cookies are subject to the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework. We only set advertising cookies when valid TCF consent has been obtained in jurisdictions where consent is required.

4. Third-Party Cookies

Our website and Platform may include content or integrations that set third-party cookies, including:

  • Google Analytics: Website traffic analysis and user behavior insights
  • Demand Partners (DSPs): Cookie synchronization for programmatic advertising
  • Verification Partners: Ad viewability, brand safety, and fraud detection (IAS, DoubleVerify, MOAT)
  • LinkedIn: Social sharing and professional networking integration

We do not control third-party cookies. Please review the respective privacy policies of these providers for more information.

5. Cookie Consent & Management

5.1 Consent

Where required by law (including under the EU ePrivacy Directive, GDPR, and UK GDPR), we obtain your consent before placing non-essential cookies. Our cookie consent banner allows you to accept or reject specific categories of cookies. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent.

5.2 Updating Your Preferences

You can change your cookie preferences at any time by:

  • Clicking the "Cookie Settings" link in our website footer
  • Clearing cookies through your browser settings
  • Using browser extensions that manage cookie consent
  • Adjusting settings in your device operating system for mobile advertising identifiers

5.3 Browser-Level Controls

Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically find these controls under "Privacy" or "Security" in your browser menu. Note that blocking all cookies may impair website functionality.

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and Site Permissions

6. Global Privacy Control (GPC)

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. When our systems detect a GPC signal from your browser, we treat it as a valid opt-out of the sale/sharing of personal information (for CCPA purposes) and limit cookie usage to strictly necessary purposes.

7. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting. While there is no industry-wide standard for DNT, we treat DNT signals in the same manner as GPC signals for users in jurisdictions where such signals carry legal weight.

8. Mobile Advertising Identifiers

On mobile devices, our Platform may use advertising identifiers (Apple's IDFA and Google's GAID) instead of cookies. These identifiers serve similar purposes (ad targeting, frequency capping, attribution) and can be managed through your device settings:

  • iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking (requires app opt-in under ATT framework)
  • Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads → Reset or Delete Advertising ID

9. Data Retention for Cookies

  • Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser
  • Analytics cookies are retained for up to 26 months
  • Advertising cookies are retained for a maximum of 13 months, in line with CNIL and GDPR guidance
  • Consent records are retained for the duration of the consent plus 6 months for audit purposes

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy periodically. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this page regularly.
